The Living Year
The Living Year
Eight seasonal gatherings for living a little more intentionally, creatively, and in rhythm with the natural world.
The Living Year is a yearlong exploration of the seasons and the ways they can help us better understand our own lives.
Eight times throughout the year, we gather at the solstices, equinoxes, and cross-quarter days to pause, reflect, learn, create, and reconnect.
Each gathering is inspired by the season we're entering and the themes it naturally brings with it. We'll explore things like rest, growth, abundance, transition, harvest, release, renewal, and the return of the light.
There will be meditation, conversation, seasonal teachings, creative projects, ceremony, a little history and mythology, practical reflection, and plenty of room for the more intuitive and magical side of things, too.
Think of it as a way to mark the year instead of letting it fly by.
A LITTLE MORE THAN A WORKSHOP
The Living Year began as an evolution of a program I previously offered called Reclaim. After the first round of The Living Year, I listened to the feedback, paid attention to what felt meaningful, and made some changes.
This next version goes deeper.
There will be more meditation, more ceremony, more space for intuition and spirituality, and more opportunities to actually experience the themes of the season rather than simply learn about them.
And there is a brand new piece this year:
The Living Year Online
Everyone who participates in The Living Year will receive access to an online, course-style learning portal.
This is different from simply watching a Zoom replay.
The portal gives you a place to return to throughout the year with seasonal teachings, meditations, reflections, resources, and other material connected to each gathering.
Join us in person or online and you'll have access to the online experience.
The idea is simple: the work doesn't have to end when the gathering does.
You can revisit a meditation weeks later, work through a reflection at home, return to a seasonal teaching, or simply check in with yourself as the year unfolds.

SAMHAIN
October 25 at 2 PM
Empower Yoga, The Dalles
Samhain marks the threshold between autumn and winter, inviting us to honor what has passed, release what we’re ready to lay down, and begin turning inward.
At this gathering, we’ll explore the difference between letting go and moving on, reflect on the wisdom we’ve gathered throughout the year, and consider what we want to carry forward into the quieter months ahead. We’ll also explore Samhain’s traditions, our connections to those who came before us, and the patterns we’re ready to change or leave behind.
We’ll weave together seasonal history and wisdom, personal reflection, meditation, conversation, and a cacao ceremony.
It’s an opportunity to slow down, honor the season we’re leaving behind, connect with yourself and others, and make space for what comes next.
This gathering is offered on a sliding scale and is open to anyone who is curious about The Living Year.
If you attend the Autumnal Equinox gathering or the Samhain gathering and decide you’d like to join the full Living Year when we officially begin at Winter Solstice, you’ll receive 10% off the full-year experience.
WHEN DOES THE FULL YEAR BEGIN?
The next full cycle of The Living Year officially begins at Winter Solstice.
The autumn gatherings are being offered as an introduction to the work and a chance to experience the community, seasonal practices, and general vibe before making a commitment to the full year.
Come for one gathering.
Come for all eight.
Or come somewhere in between.
There is no singular way to do it.
The seasons will keep turning either way.
The Living Year is simply an invitation to notice.
